Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
This policy explains how Von Albert Real Estate collects and processes personal data when you use this website, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data Controller
The controller responsible for processing your personal data on this website within the meaning of Art. 4(7) GDPR is:
Von Albert Real Estate
Kurfürstendamm 196, 10707 Berlin, Germany
Email: info@vonalbert-realestate.com
Phone: +49 30 983 512 52
2. Data Protection Officer
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not legally required to do so. For any question concerning the processing of your personal data or to exercise your rights, please contact us using the details in section 1.
3. Server Log Files
When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser transmits to us in server log files. This includes your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring URL, and your browser type and operating system.
This data is processed on the legal basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in the secure, stable, and error-free operation of the website. It is stored only for a short period for security and troubleshooting purposes and is not combined with other data about you.
4. Hosting and Content Delivery
This website is hosted on a server located within the European Union (Germany). Content is delivered through Cloudflare, a content delivery and security service that helps protect the site against attacks and improves loading times.
Our hosting provider and Cloudflare process data strictly on our behalf as processors under data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. In the course of providing its service, Cloudflare may transfer data to the United States; such transfers are safeguarded by EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and performant website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
5. Cookies and Consent
We use cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies are required for the website to function — including a cookie that stores your cookie preferences ("va-analytics-consent", retained for 180 days). These are set on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and § 25(2) TDDDG and do not require consent.
Non-essential cookies — currently analytics cookies only — are set exclusively after you give consent via our cookie banner. You can review and withdraw your consent at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer. See our Cookie Policy for more detail.
6. Web Analytics — Google Analytics 4
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google Analytics uses cookies to help us understand how visitors use the site so that we can improve it. It processes information such as truncated IP address, pages visited, time on site, and approximate location.
Google Analytics is loaded only after you actively accept analytics cookies. No analytics cookie is set and no request is sent to Google before that point. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future.
In the course of this processing, data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States. Such transfers are safeguarded by EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You can find more information in Google's privacy policy.
7. Maps
We display the location of our office and of properties using map data from OpenStreetMap. To protect your privacy, both the map tiles and any address geocoding are routed through our own EU-hosted server. As a result, your IP address is not disclosed to OpenStreetMap or any third-party map provider when a map is shown. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in presenting locations clearly (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
8. Contact Forms and Enquiries
When you contact us through a form on this website or by email, we process the data you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message — in order to handle and respond to your enquiry.
Where your enquiry relates to entering into or performing a contract (for example a property viewing or mandate), the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. In all other cases, it is our legitimate interest in responding to your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Providing this data is voluntary, but we cannot respond to your enquiry without it.
9. Property Listings and CRM
Property listings shown on this website are managed using Propstack, a real estate CRM system. If you enquire about a specific property, the details of your enquiry may be stored in Propstack so that we can manage our communication with you. Propstack acts as a processor on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
10. Recipients of Your Data
We do not sell your personal data. Within the limits described above, your data may be processed by carefully selected processors acting on our behalf — namely our hosting provider, Cloudflare, Propstack, and (only with your consent) Google. We disclose data to public authorities only where we are legally obliged to do so.
11. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as it is necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or for as long as we are required to keep it under statutory retention obligations (for example under commercial and tax law). Once no purpose and no retention obligation remains, the data is deleted.
12. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15);
- have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16);
- have your data erased (Art. 17);
- restrict the processing of your data (Art. 18);
- receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20);
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21);
- withdraw any consent you have given at any time, with effect for the future and without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal (Art. 7(3)).
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@vonalbert-realestate.com.
13. Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you believe that our processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany.
14. Data Security
This website uses TLS/SSL encryption to protect data transmitted between your browser and our server. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes to our practices or to legal requirements. The current version is always available on this page.
